One of Hutchinson Networks’ customers, SalesAgility, is taking aim at the global leaders of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) industry with a new cloud-hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model for its CRM solution. Suite: OnDemand, the latest offering developed by the Scotland-based CRM developer, is launching as a direct competitor to the per-user pricing models favoured by industry leaders such as Salesforce.
This new cloud-hosted SaaS model includes applications for the sales process and marketing automation, customer service and support management. According to SalesAgility, the proprietor behind the world’s most popular open source CRM SuiteCRM, Suite: OnDemand is designed to radically change the way hosted CRM is priced and delivered. Unlike Salesforce and other enterprise CRM vendors, the practice of pricing per user has been abandoned in favour of per-server hosting packages, all of which will support unlimited users. In addition, SalesAgility has asserted that there will be no increase in cost for access to advanced features – every feature and benefit is available with each hosting package.
“We’re saying to Salesforce that enterprise-class CRM can be delivered, enhanced, maintained and supported without charging mouth-wateringly expensive monthly fees,” says Dale Murray, CEO of SalesAgility. “We want SuiteCRM to be available to all businesses and to all users within a business. Many organisations do not have the experience to run and support our product on-premise or it is not part of their technology strategy to do so. With Suite: OnDemand we are providing our customers with a quick and easy solution to access all the features of SuiteCRM without a per-user cost. Our aim is to transform the CRM market to enable users to make CRM pervasive within their organisations.”
Suite: OnDemand is significantly less costly to use, customise, adapt, or integrate compared to proprietary CRM solutions. The solution is fully hosted on Fabrix cloud platform built by Hutchinson Networks. The Fabrix platform offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), designed to be highly flexible and tailored to specific customer requirements, while also allowing transit connectivity to leading cloud providers, secure analytics on applications, and disaster recovery. Olga Melnyk, Director of Fabrix at Hutchinson Networks said:
“It has been a pleasure to support SalesAgility for many years and it is invigorating witnessing the growth of their innovative and very successful product set. We are overjoyed that this solution is hosted on our Fabrix cloud platform and will continue developing our platform as a secure, reliable and scalable place to build and host products like Suite: OnDemand.”
Research firm Gartner estimates that by 2022 the global CRM applications market will be valued at $29.7 billion. At the end of 2017, CRM applications overtook database management systems (DBMSs) as the largest software market. This growth, according to Zion (another market research company), is being fuelled by the realisation of businesses that the granular analysis of customer relations is providing businesses with a significant return on investment.
