Position Overview

The GTSS Engineer will be responsible for work on our Customer sites. They will report directly to the GTSS team leader, with responsibility to HN Project Managers.

 

Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Remote/Smart Hands activities on behalf of customers, 3rd parties/vendors and other client technical teams in line with contractual requirements.
  • Be part of an ad-hoc support rota in order to cover flexible shifts over multiple time zones.
  • Complete tasks to specified standards
  • Respond to problems quickly and efficiently using approved procedures
  • Escalate potential issues through defined escalation process.

Essential Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer networking or Vendor certification.
  • Computer/IT literate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Client focused at all time
  • Ability to work under pressure and make important decisions
  • Ability to work out of hours shifts (from 7am to 3pm, from 3pm to 11pm, from 11pm to 7am)
  • Current valid ID (Driving License/Passport)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Flexible attitude to work assignments and learning new skills
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects with limited supervision
  • Experience working with Cisco networking equipment

 

Desirable Experience:

  • Any experience in a customer support environment or IT service desk, would be advantageous.
